Maria M. Bell-Williams, Director of Human Resources
Maria M. Bell-Williams is a strategic Human Resources executive with nearly 30 years of progressive experience leading human resources operations, organizational development, talent management, employee relations, compliance, and workforce strategy across private, public, nonprofit, healthcare, aviation, and consulting organizations. As Human Resources Director, she is recognized for developing high-performing teams, driving organizational growth, and aligning people strategies with business objectives to create cultures of accountability, engagement, and operational excellence.
Throughout her career, Maria has served as a trusted Human Resources Business Partner, consultant, and executive leader, providing strategic guidance in HR compliance, employee relations, policy development, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, performance management, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness. She has successfully partnered with executive leadership to navigate organizational change, implement best HR practices, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws while supporting diverse, multi-state workforces.
A passionate educator and accomplished facilitator, Maria is also an Adjunct Instructor at Valencia College, where she teaches workforce development and professional success skills to prepare students for today's competitive workplace. She has designed and delivered more than 30 training programs focused on leadership development, workplace professionalism, employment law, customer service, conflict resolution, communication, diversity and inclusion, and supervisory excellence.
Maria is deeply committed to community service and believes in empowering others through education and career development. She regularly volunteers her expertise by conducting employment readiness workshops, résumé reviews, career assessments, mock interviews, and professional development seminars for adults and youth. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with organizations including Orange County Public Schools, CareerSource Central Florida, Christian HELP, Dress for Success Greater Orlando, the Central Florida Employment Council (CFEC), the National Black MBA Association (NBMBA), and Community Action Now.
Her commitment to community leadership extends beyond her professional responsibilities. Since 2017, Maria has served as an Executive Board Member for Community Action Now in Atlanta, Georgia, and has volunteered as an educator since 2010. She previously served as Executive Secretary and Programming Chair for the National Black MBA Association's Central Florida Chapter and as Programming Director for Dress for Success Greater Orlando. She is also a founding member of a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing humanitarian assistance during nationally declared disasters.
Maria holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management and dual master's degrees in Business Administration and Human Resources. She is passionate about developing leaders, strengthening organizations, and helping individuals reach their full potential. She lives by her personal philosophy:
